“A DIFFERENT KIND OF TIMEPIECE.”

Architecture Is My Inspiration

I approach horology as an artistic medium.

Architecture provides the inspiration — its proportions, materials, structure, atmosphere and relationship to place.

I translate those elements into mechanical works, then collaborate with exceptional Swiss manufactures and specialist craftsmen to realize them.

The result is not a watch designed for a market.

It is a work of art created from a place, for the people who belong to it.

The R.T. Adams Approach

Architecture is not replicated. It is interpreted through horology.

⸻

01 Architectural Study

I begin by studying the architecture—its form, proportions, materials, textures and relationship to its environment.

The objective is to understand what gives the architecture its identity, rather than simply reproduce its visual elements.

02 Horological Interpretation

Those architectural ideas are translated into proportion, case architecture, materials, movement, dial construction and finishing.

Those architectural idea are translated into proportion, case architecture, materials, movement, dial construction and finishing.

The timepiece begins to develop its own identity while retaining a connection to the place that inspired it.

03 Swiss Realization

Once the artistic direction is established, I work with exceptional Swiss manufactures and specialist craftsmen to realize the piece mechanically.

The architecture provides the inspiration.

Horology becomes the expression.

04 Swiss Realization

Once the artistic direction is complete, the work is entrusted to exceptional Swiss manufactures and specialist craftsmen.

Movement, components, finishing and assembly are selected according to the requirements of each work.

My role remains the same throughout: to protect the original artistic intent from concept through completion.

05 The Work Becomes Part of the Residence

The completed collection becomes a personal expression of the architecture that inspired it.

For residential commissions, each work may be presented with the residence— creating a lasting connection between the architecture, its owner and the mechanical object it inspired.

The residence remains in one place. its story can be carried.

Beyond the Architecture

Architecture is experienced through space, material, light, and proportion.

My work asks a different question:

Can the identity of a place be translated into an object you carry with you?

Through mechanical horology, I created a lasting interpretation of the architecture— something personal to the individual who inhabits it and inseparable from the story of the residence.

Residential Commissions

I collaborate with architects, developers and residential brans on original horological works inspired by their architecture.

Each commission begins with the project itself—not an existing watch collection.

The architecture determines the direction. Its proportions, ,materials, environment and identity become the foundation from which I create.
